Great suggestions! Glad to be part of this helpful community. I will try my rover parts, 4x4overlander site, and the dealers you guys recommended and report back.
as far as buying from a wrecked Russian Defender, the dealership will be paying as this is under warranty. No way they will install those parts but I love the creativity!
Look, I understand the moral high ground of “it’s under warranty the dealership better fix it!”
But as a Man, seriously, I would simply buy the part ask the dealership to install it if it fixes it great, if not then wait for the new part, but I would never ever let my dealership hold onto my car. Ever.
I give my service advisor a 100 dollar bill when I need warranty work with the understanding that I will be there at 7am and stay at the dealership all day until it’s fixed. I literally pull up, they diagnose it, waited 2 weeks for the coolant reservoir tank to arrive like my 2020 had problems like yours, and the came back two weeks later and they installed it while I waited. That was worth 100 bucks.
But go ahead Custer, make your last stand on that hill, let them ransom your very expensive vehicle. I think it’s hilarious that most guys can’t see the big picture of what it takes to get service done.
I would buy this 90 dollar part and install it myself waiting on the dealership part.
but ok boomer drive a raggedy loaner or go vehicless.
Got my Defender back after 3 weeks waiting on a $1900 alternator on a 3 week old car.
I contacted over 10 parts dealers in USA. The part was not available as it was a new one replacing a discontinued part. Was advised the part was nowhere to be had. No eta on the part. Dec/Jan was the best guess from one vendor.
I called the dealership a few times, the manager, sales, service, parts, demanding to be kept informed, contacted JLR USA and even found a used part on ebay to be used as a stop gap. Essentially, being a real Karen demanding a part be sent from Nitra. JLR UK were also involved. Few days ago the part magically appears at the dealership and was installed. No idea what actually went on with sourcing the part but it sure is nice to be rid of problems. Both parties would agree to that.
I pootled along in a new GMC Yukon for 3 weeks while waiting. Got me to work and stuff.
The whole unexpected unreliability of a new car sucks. A very new experience for me having a history of buying boring never break cars.
I wasn't about to shell out over 1500 on used parts and required tools, take a course in auto mechanics via the university of youtube and take a full day off from work to fix a 3 week old Defender myself. Sadly I lack the testicular and penile fortitude of others here. It would also make no sense financially to be away from work for a day. In any event, I wouldn't know my **** from my elbow when it comes to this sort of thing and would likely bork things up royally.
Try the Karen approach. Be the greasy wheel. That would be my advice.

Understandable. It's a cheap part but I'd probably not do that either. Mainly because I've been through leaking coolant 3x with new JLR products and it's never stopped me from just driving it while I wait.
Identical symptoms. 2-3 weeks or so after a top off, it gives a low coolant light. A spray bottle with straight Simple Green (cold engine only) and a rinse to clean off any coolant residue followed by a top off with distilled water gets it ready for a quick leak test. Just run the engine with the hood up until it gets to temp and watch for steam from a leaky hose. Use a flashlight. It might not be obvious.
If you see a small leak, just keep it topped off with distilled water (fine to do a couple times) or JLR orange coolant and I would personally drive it anyway.
If there's no visible leak, could be another issue. The sensor mentioned by others or a bad head gasket sucking coolant. Maybe don't drive it then but the part numbers you had were for an interior arm rest (?) and a coolant hose so it sounds like your sa already spotted the leak and determined it's the hose.

Try MyRoverParts.com This is the Wilmington, DE Land Rover dealer. They have a strong e-commerce business. Also, Landrover Fairfield offers the same low pricing as Land Rover Wilmington.
If you are on the West Coast, try Land Rover Rancho Mirage. They seem tightly connected to JLR North America on the West Coast. Land Rover Princeton is a solid dealer apparently linked to JLR NA HQ in N.J.
As an update, I got the vehicle back today. My props and gratitude to TrioLRowner, who proposed the successful solution of calling various Rover dealerships. I ultimately found the part from Land Rover of Paramus, New Jersey. Shipped overnight Mail, and dealer installed.
I will update again if any further problems are encountered, but for now we seem to be in the clear.

Does anyone on the forum have a lead/ ideas on how to get these parts delivered faster?
