2021 HSE had all leather. In order to get the robustec you had to order the X-dynamic option - I think.

Are you in the UK? I know the model lineup is a little different there.

In the USA there was only one HSE and it was in the x dynamic option. The 2020 HSE had an all leather option, the 2021 X dynamic HSE did not.

One thing I find interesting is that for MY 22 the order guide mentions "Acorn/Ebony Windsor leather" for XD HSE, whereas for XD SE It mentions "Acorn/Ebony grained leather with Robustec". Does that mean for MY 22 XD HSE has gone back to full leather? For MY 21, both XD SE and XD HSE have Robustec listed in the configurator.

That is how I interpreted it and was what my post above was referring to. The XD SE has a non windsor leather with the robustec seat facing

The order guide does not indicate what the XS model has for seating. On the land rover usa site, in the breakdown of the models, the XS reads :
  • Ebony Windsor Leather 14-Way Heated and Cooled Electronic Memory Front Seats with 4-Way Manual Headrests"

Sorry about this folks, the sales rep replied back that he got his model years mixed up, but we kind of figured that. Still no order guide was attached to the reply but I think I saw one was posted in another thread.

Any idea on when your order is getting updated?

I haven't submitted an order yet. I wanted to test drive a 90 with a P300 engine if possible or ANY 90 period, yet to see one on the lot, the sales rep replied back today that he has just one 110 P300 on the lot now and that I should probably test that and then a 90 with a P400 engine comes in a couple of weeks. It's looking more and more like I'd have to just order the 90 P300 without a true test drive of it and whatever it is it is. Honestly it would be a nice stress reliever to just commit to something and be done with it but I still have vehicles I think are worth a look, the Stelvio for one, there's also a silver 2020 evoque that's been on the local lot for months with the 296 HP engine which they don't ship with anymore. I probably could get a much better deal on that lease than the Defender. That nice ride height and seating position where I can finally stretch out for once are the huge pluses for the Defender, and it's obviously striking. It's like life has been so boring in lock-down, something really different would be nice to climb into every day and the Defender is that.

Didnt LR want to be 60% electric by 2025? Wouldn't a heavy PHEV lineup be the first step?
No PHEV is a deal breaker for me. Unless JLR announce the P400e is coming to US and soon, I will be buying a Stellantis or Ford product.

My dealer said JLR decided not to bring the Defender P400e to USA because of dismal sales of the RR P400e. They had a RR PHEV on the lot, sticker price $111K -- wonder if that played a role in poor sales? However, JLR think Americans will pay over $100K for a useless Defender V8 in 2022. Is Jeremy Clarkson making these decisions?
