What is the system people are using to check their build status/shipping info? I had to call my dealer and have them send me the updating order info which included the VIN. The original one I got when I ordered didn't have a VIN (obviously as I'm sure its assigned later). We're past the build date on the order and I'd like to confirm whats going on.

 

And there is a self-fulfilling prophecy on shortages. One rumor that TP will be in short supply and bang...there is a run on it and a shortage occurs. During the early days of the pandemic, meat, flour, yeast, and just about every commodity was in short supply. Demand surge creates shortages in most industries, automotive not excepted. The chip debacle only exacerbated it for auto makers.

Another cold war utterance...people in Russia were in line for groceries and when the first in line asked for two loaves of bread, she was told there is a limited supply so she could only have one. Those in line heard this and even though many were not buying bread, they now did so which created a shortage immediately. Then they told neighbors, etc. And this was before the Internet! Imagine it now...

 

My great looking 110 HSE was sitting at the dealership waiting for a buyer, with approved rear lights, so I bought it and I'm ready to go, but 10 days later my dealer says they're waiting for LR's "official release", whatever that is.

 

I went in to the delership to check in on the status. They were able to pull it in their system and confirmed the vehicle was built (9/25 instead of 9/24). It would trigger next steps in the process with expected delivery 11/11

Best to call your sales rep or one of the managers.

Everything remained the same including the larger 11 inch screen with the exception of analog dials.

I am still waiting for an update for my 9/17 build. System is not updated yet according to my dealer. If I don't hear by end of this week maybe if the dealer can inquire.

 

​​​​​​Bsd news friend. Mine with a 9/17 build is still not built and just got pushed from 11/12 delivery to 12/3. No more information but I suspect a part is missing.

 

Great. .well mine was originally scheduled for delivery on 12/3 anyway...see what happens.
