I had a similar experience. Typically took 3-4 days to get a response and many times the information seemed completely fabricated as alot of it turned out to be inccorect.

JLR should have a customer portal where when you put the deposit down/place the order, you have a login that allows you to see the status. If there was a fee for this I probably would have paid it...

 

UK people have it goooooood. Don't even have to get off your couch.

I got back some new order info on my 110 X build:
As of August we were looking at a 11/5 build, 1/14/22 delivery
Now it has moved UP a week to a 10/29 build, 1/7/22 delivery

I'm very surprised by this considering all that is going on.

 

I am still waiting to see if mine was actually built on Oct 8. It was originally scheduled for sep 17 build. As of yesterday, no change and still shows build date of Oct 8 with delivery Dec 3.

My build dates were the same - pushed to Oct 8. Last updated from dealer was that delivery was pushed from Dec 3 to Dec 10. Saying that - my dealer seems to have very limited ability to see the process...apparently he needs to ask his dealership manager to access the system everytime I ask to check. They're super lame with customer service. I would suggest pushing for an update by end of this week...if it was not built on Oct 8 then it should have updated in the system by end of this week - if not, perhaps good news. fingers crossed.

 

for my base 110 ordered in late July. have a build date of 11/26/21, delivery of 1/21/22.

 

I just read in a Defender fb group that all MY 22 production (that did not already get converted to MY 23) has now stopped due to chip shortage and any not yet built Defenders will be pushed out to next yr. Confirmed by a JLR factory worker that 2/3 of employee have been sent home. Will call dealership here in NY today to confirm.

 

Just spoke w/ my sales manager 5 min ago and he said my MY22 Defender is still showing a build date of 11/19/21 and a delivery date of 1/14/22. Ordered in Sep 21. Said something to the effect that any order that has an actual build date has the allocated equipment/parts for it or or wouldn't get a build date.

 

I have the exact same dates on my 22 build.
