Any clarification as to why the roof rack and other accessories aren’t available for our V8s?

 

Nothing official. The official tech spec still shows the roof as having a load capability so I think it’s just a “style” decision. I even tried to change the delete roof rails option.

 

I wanted the v8, but they won’t ship them with roof rails, so no roof racks, ladders, boxes or crossbars. So it just wasn’t worth it for me to get the bigger engine and I went with an X.

 

you gotta buy and fit it yourself

 

Would only sell locally as shipping is a huge PITA to pack and ship. Thanks though.

 

I tried accessing the configurator on landroverusa.com but seems to be busted, get a "Bad Request" message. Can't JLR keep anything working?

 

Yeah this has happened to me as well. Try a different browser and it should work fine. I have issues w/ the configurator in Chrome but it works well on Safari

 

I had problems this morning logging onto the website with Edge on a new Surface Go 2 I picked up. I emailed LR about it, fwiw. Chrome worked for me though.

 

I’ll let you guys be the guinea pigs on that. Would rather not wait until until fourth quarter this year for a truck and then figure out if what can be done or if JLR did something weird as it’s a like the fiasco with stripped bolts for those removing the rails for the frontrunner racks.Good luck though!

 

What is your source for that info? My order details list adaptive cruise control as one of the standard features for my XS build.
