Are all you September guys ordering the big (11.4") screen? I ordered my truck on 3/23/21 and made a change on 3/25/21. At that time build date was scheduled for 5/7 and delivery on 7/2. But when I asked them on 3/23 to change the screen to the big one, just to see what happened (I'm fine with the small screen), it changed the build date to "unknown" or undetermined or something, and the sales manager said they were hearing Sept/Oct for the big screen cars at the earliest. But of course, this was all 4 weeks ago I was hearing that.

My delivery (Atlanta, and the ship docks in Brunswick GA to unload) is also quoted as 8 weeks. I wonder why? The last car I ordered was a 2015 911 GTS in Feb 2015. It took exactly 4 weeks from the time the build was completed till I drove it home from the Atlanta dealer. I don't see how it could take 8 weeks to get here from a few hundred miles further away than Stuttgart. I know, I know, "Covid", the handy excuse for all diminished performance these days (I even tried it on my wife when she said my performance had diminished, but she has my medical records so it didn't fly.) But do trucks drive slower and ships sail slower because of the virus?

I tracked a Dodge RAM 1500 from Mexico to Vancouver a couple of years ago and it averaged <4mph I assume they used a donkey not an auto rack on a train.

I’ll let you guys be the guinea pigs on that. Would rather not wait until until fourth quarter this year for a truck and then figure out if what can be done or if JLR did something weird as it’s a like the fiasco with stripped bolts for those removing the rails for the frontrunner racks.Good luck though!

FWIW I remember seeing others who had the same build time as mine (5/7) having a handover date in June. Might be over in the 2021 thread I started.
