had you already placed an order? Any insight on the next V8 order window opening?

Ok the first cut off was April 6 so you may have presumably been allocated a production slot? I assume you haven’t been hit by the price increase as you already had your order in?

Yes I have a production slot in August. But I don't think that matters in terms of pricing. I don't think that locks in to you actually take delivery.

you signed a sales order - they can’t just change the price at delivery.

Has anyone showed up to the dealership to take delivery of your 22 Defender and had the dealer ask more for the car than what the build sheet quoted (assuming a MY22 build sheet)? With the change to the full leather seats just showing up, made me wonder if I should expect my dealer to try and raise the price when I pick it up.

Change to the leather seats?

I placed an order that hasn't been delivered and I haven't paid for, so I'm pretty sure they can do what they want until either of those things happen. This isn't the dealer that's changing the price, it's Land Rover Corporate. The MSRP for all V8s has increased.

My 2022 110 SE was missing air suspension and clearsight mirror (both of which were part of my 2021 build order). My dealer initially blamed the factory/corporate but after some negotiation, they reimbursed me for the missing air suspension, taking $1600 off the MSRP. He threw in collapsible cargo organizer too . So in the end, I got me a '22 SE below the MSRP; and below the quote on my original build, due to lower price for the Carpathian paint.

Bottom line: It came in $1600 under the MSRP and $2k less my build sheet quote. I also got the all-grained leather seats as a bonus.

Of course, it was missing my preferred suspension and rear view mirror so I consider the snafus a bit of a wash. Love my Defender though!

You no longer have any obligation if they change their offer though at least.
