That's unfortunate, but on the bright side you can still order a Defender with options. We just tried to order a 2022 X5 and so many options are currently unavailable. The deal breaker is that only the X5 base radio is available. It's something like 150 watts through 6 speakers and sounds like an old clock radio. Ridiculous in a $75K vehicle.

After 8 years with "his & her" 2013's LR4s I was hoping to add some variety to the family motor pool. Now it looks like we are headed for matching Defenders again.

My delivery ETA has flip flopped from 10/22 to 10/1 to 10/22 to 10/1 in the past week and a half or so...Originally it was supposed to be in July then when I had to create a new order due to the my22 conversion oopsie it was end of August...

Grenadier would be great if I was heading out on an expedition across some desolate continent. Defender meets our needs for driving on soft beach sand in summer and deep snow in winter. X5 would have been perfect to get my wife to and from work. She will just keep driving the LR4 and see if any of the unavailable X5 options come back. As much as we love our LR4, I'm done putting money into it. It has needed over $10K in repairs in the last year.

Excellent! We did the same with two 2013 LR4's, an HSE and an HSE LUX and now two new 2021 Defender 110's. The garage is a happy place once again!

I have yet to see the interior of the Grenadier but based on the price speculation I am presuming it will offer a similar luxury to the defender.

So supposedly the 11.4 media screen is no longer available to order and some people are reporting orders placed in the past month or so have been amended to reflect the smaller screen. Will be interesting to see if vehicles show up without the larger screen.

I really wish JLR would accommodate individual orders with these specs vs retail orders by the dealers. I recognize that is selfish but would be nice to get some perks for the wait.

By the time they get to mine, they'll be stapling Hello Kitty tablets to the dash.
