July 26, Tata announces earnings with some JLR comments.
"Jaguar Land Rover owner Tata Motors reported a wider-than-estimated first-quarter loss as a global semiconductor shortage dragged down sales at the UK luxury unit.
JLR now expects semiconductor supply shortages in the second quarter to be greater than in the first quarter, potentially resulting in wholesale volumes about 50 percent lower than planned," Tata said in a statement. "In the second quarter, JLR expects a negative EBIT margin with a free cash outflow of less than £1 billion. JLR expects the situation will start to improve in the second half of the financial year."
**Their 2Q is July, August, September so this seems in-line with production being shut for, so far, all of 2Q already.
50% wholesale volume reduction sounds bad and ends up sounding a lot worse when you consider they are still shipping vehicles that were built before the shut-down and that, if they ship what's left for 2 or 3 more weeks, that could account for nearly all of the 50% they expect to ship before October. Ouch!

I posted yesterday, but I think it was moderated away. I have a P400SE on order:
Ordered: 6/17
Build Scheduled: 7/16
Delivery Scheduled: 9/3
I emailed the dealer last week, expecting a build delay (which I was fine with), but the salesman told me it was built and already in the build market waiting to ship! Right now it could actually show up a bit earlier than expected, but I'm trying to contain my excitement.

Here is the update on my 22 XS optioned with the 11.4 screen. This was a newly confirmed order that occurred in mid March 2021. My dealer did not let me edit an existing order.
Original Build Date 6/11/21
1st Revised Build Date 7/23/21
2nd Revised Build Date 7/16/21
Final Build Date 7/14/21
Original Delivery Date to Oregon 8/22/21
Current estimated Delivery Date to Oregon is either 9/3 or 9/24. The delivery date reflects 9/24/21 but accepted Delivery is 9/3/21. All previous reports reflected the same date for both of these. Planned handover is 9/25/21. I am having the under shield installed at port, but this has not changed from the original order where there was no gapping in those time frames.
This is the first time the planned handover date has changed since the first report which reflected 9/5/21. Even when the Delivery was listed as 10/22/21 on the second report the handover was still 9/5/21. Their system seems buggy.
