I'm in the process of ordering a P300. The dealer told me to expect the wait to be over a year & that I may get analog gauges. They just don't have any accurate info at this time.

My understanding is the Defender X and above are getting priority for tech features. My dealer informed me of it and others with X orders have confirmed. Sounds likely it’s a moving target though.

I'm not too bummed about the deletions because I opted for a lesser build to begin with. As another poster stated, I think the smaller display looks more integrated and I opted for no pano roof. Also, it's just my Wife and myself so the rear seats will be folded down 90% of the time. I would have much preferred the full digital driver's display, but I figure with the Pangea Green, White roof, and White steelies, maybe the analog gauges will add to the somewhat retro look.
Sounds like a great build, it’s a Swiss Army knife that’s purposely built to do a job.

HI I bought a used 2020 Defender while I waited for my 2022 to arrive. 10 months later the 2022 arrived without the HUD which I was already used to from the 2020. After two weeks of driving my new Defender I don't miss it. I am personally not a fan of the Clearsight mirror, I find it very disorienting to drive with. I also did not receive the 11.4 inch screen. The regular sized screen is really sufficient especially with CarPlay, its easy to read and interface with. You are lucky the dealership gave you heads up about the missing items. I didn't find out until I showed up on the lot to pick up the car. I love my Defender. Its an amazing car even thought it is not exactly what I ordered.

Apparently, the P300 2.0L engine is going to Jaguars and the P400 is going to Land Rover. Meaning you won't be able to get the larger engine from Jaguar and will only get the larger engine in Land Rovers.

Is this shocking news true in North America?

Is there documentation to support that the P300 will not be provided to the New Defender models? If so, when?

Thanks.

I ordered a D90 S with the P300 back in July. I got confirmation that it will be built this Feb! I saw my first D90 in the wild today (a snowy chicago) and it looked amazing! CANT WAIT EVEN MORE NOW!

I hope that is not the case. I have a 110S P300 on order. I compared it to the X package and the same options increased the price from $66K to $79K, and I can't get the white roof and steelies I want and have to take a panoramic roof and a part-time hybrid system I don't want.

Any chance you can upgrade back up to the interactive driver display after taking delivery? Buy the part and have the dealer or a third party install it?

Not sure. I've watched some videos saying the mileage data is stored in the interactive display so I don't know the logistics/legality of it. I am sure someone at Land Rover or 3rd party could program it. The mileage must be stored in a 2nd part of the car I'd image, if not anyone could pay someone a little extra to turn back the clock.

I am wondering if Land Rover would program it and if it would effect the warranty. You know they'll look for any reason to void a warranty if you strolled in there with a blown engine or something.
