2024's still have the A-Pillar issue!
It really is a shame that LR has not resolved this A pillar issue. I had it in my first Defender in 2020 (totalled) and it took more than 4 dealer visits at that time to get it somewhat resolved. My V8 CE 2022 did not have it, and neither did my 2023 P400 (totalled with 4k miles on the odometer). For this to still be happening in 2024 makes no sense at all.
Just had mine fixed this week. After my Service Advisor left me hanging for months. I complained about the noise on a drop-by visit while I was driving by the dealership and he said he would order the parts, but they would be awhile since they were on back order, and then he would have to send them out for painting. After two months, I got a call that they were in and I made an appointment. Went to retrieve the vehicle and found out they only did the drivers side. When I asked him why, he said “I thought you said the noise was only the drivers side”. Duh! So, he said, I’ll order the parts and get back to you. Five months later, I dropped in again and he says let’s me check with Parts. Turns out they were there all along. They finally installed them that day. Terrible service. My noise would occur at highway speeds over 80. Under those speeds, there was no problem.
My '22 110 went in for it's 3rd annual service this week and while there I asked about the A-Pillar 'crackling noise' issue; they have a new "4th generation fix" which they've ordered from JLR in the US, so it's a common fault. They've redesigned the part that fixes to the frame and because it's a new part, the old color-matched covers at the bottom need replacing and painted. It sounds promising... will report back in a couple of weeks.
Well, once again I’ve had an A Pillar just snap off the vehicle (21’ 110)while driving on the Florida turnpike.
I went through this crap and an 8 month cat and mouse game back in 22’. Does anyone know if the dealerships are treating it as a known issue and what impact that has on cost?

It startled me at first, but it's now happening regularly when I'm 70+mph, so I'm wondering if this is working up to snapping off like yours?
I’m just disgusted with LR. I didn’t hear any cracking. Just popped off. Some I looked on eBay and bought a new one for 135$ and installed it in 2 minutes and it’s holding very tight. I may just order one for the passenger side for the hell if it.
Had it on the driver's side of my 2020 when I first got it. Now the 2023 just got a new windshield and the passengers side flew off a week after the windshield install. No issues with the 2023 before that.
