This thread is old but its worth revising so to save someone like myself lookingfor the answer.

The 22" wheels on an X come with 380/365mm brakes.

Everyone believes that the only brake difference is p300-400 and that is true, unless you order 22's on the X model only.
Every other p400 that gets the 22" option does not get larger brakes.
This is not disclosed anywhere that I am aware of on any site. Only confirmable by vin searches.

Currently I am unaware whether 20s will clear these brakes. The answers are conflicting. I did however measure and it should clear, barely.
This unfortunately rendered me unable to do the brake mod for 18s so Im stuck with 20's aka an off road vehicle with OnRoad wheels.

@Awtargum appears to have done the 20" conversion, but can you confirm your 90 has 380/365 brakes as well, I can see they are red, or is this specific to the 100 X due to weight?

Will someone with an X from the factory with 22" wheels please take good close up pics of your front brake calipers?

I compared my X (with 20" rims from the factory) side by side at dealer service lane with a 2022 X (with 22" rims from the factory) and I could not see a difference visually in the brake calipers. Both of which were L'orange. I had remembered the discussions here -- but -- I'd really like to see a side by side comparison of actual photos of the calipers / rotors on an X with 22's.

just run the vin it will tell you the brake size. It’s either 365mm or 380mm

not that these are great pics. But they’re the brakes I have.

2023 X w/5098 package (aka free brakes)

All the measurements I have done say the 20's fit and theres enough X examples to prove it.

Its the confusion over who has what brakes that needs to be sticky'd I think

Anyone in SoCal interested in selling their 22" 5098's? Looking for a silver set, but would be open to other colors.
