Default '24 110 - Brakes sound awful after 2k miles

Anyone else had this issue? I've had my fair share of older cars in my time, and my brand new 110's brakes sound like I'm driving an old jalopy. It's very similar to the metallice grinding noise that old rotors/pads make when a car's sat in the rain for a few days. They grind and pulse every time I come to a stop, regardless if I've just started moving or have been driving around for a while.

I have a dealer appointment coming up to deal with some other grinding coming from the front end (that sounds like a CV joint) so I'm hoping they can ID the problem. Everything looks fine to my eye and there are no loose components that I can feel.

Any insight would be great.

Might just be a rock stuck in your pads. Good luck and let us know what the dealer says

Doesn't sound like a rock unfortunately, it's pulsing and rhythmic, like a warped rotor would be. There's no feedback/vibration in the steering wheel though which is strange, it's just the noise.

WHOOMP whoomp WHOOMP whoomp WHOOMP whooooomp whooop whomp... *stop*

It's more embarrasing than anything. I took a co-worker for a spin in my sweet new $80,000 car and his first impression was "why does this thing sound like it has 1987 Oldsmobile brakes?"

Hmm, never really heard of anyone with this type of issue on a new one on this forum before. Could the e-brake be sticking or something? There's auto-hold and all that jazz, maybe shut that off if it isn't already and see if you still hear it. I suspect they'll probably see something right away when you have the dealer look it over because it seems to be highly unusual.

If you already have an appt for a front end noise, there's a good chance this is related. Hopefully they told you to drive it minimally until it can be looked at. Both issues sound like something that should be dealt with tomorrow and not sometime later.
