Exclamation Loud grinding sound! Brakes or Transmission?

Hello. I have a 2007 Range Rover HSE Sport and yesterday out of the blue I heard (and felt) the most horrible grinding and screeching sound coming out of my vehicle. I can't figure out if it's my brakes, because I just got a brake job a month ago or if something is wrong with my axle/transmission. It pops and grinds and screeches when I drive at any speed. Actually, the slower the speed the louder it grinds and pops. HELP!

1. STOP DRIVING IT

2. If the noice changed at all while touching the brakes, send it back to whoever did them.

Have towed to shop. Once on a lift things can be moved and source determined much easier. Normally brake screech is when they are applied, and you can see a groove being cut into the disk rotor. What ever is happening will get much worse with continued operation.

Yes, definitely not driving it! It does make noise when I hit the brakes but also when I turn the steering wheel. It might be something in the axle.

I'm calling the tow company now. Good thing I have tow coverage on my insurance policy. Thanks!
