Interesting about trade in value... I had a feeling pre-owned will start climbing again... Especially if JLR really decides to cut back on the US.

No, it's not. Like everything else it's based on the top level China to first US buyer and a percentage for vehicles because they are always "percent American", etc.

Until recently if you had something made in China you paid a dime on a dollar + 2.5%, but. I have no clue about recent Slovakia made Defenders are %-wise. My 23.5 D90S was 23% US parts. Should be on the Maroney sticker. Likely varies by model / content.

JLR needed this pause. I have noticed dealers still had many many 2024’s on the lot. Tariffs is a good excuse for the pause imo.

this will likely throw another wrench into the ever delayed Range Rover EV release, as I assume the US would be a large market for it.
