650 miles in 5 days (100 offroad) - Quick report
The AC is now a known issue with D90s. The factory has been filling the system to the level of the 110s which I think is 900 grams. But the spec for 90s is 660 grams (or was it 680?). I had mine drained and refilled to spec, and it's working fine now. Reason it goes out when you need it most is when it's overloaded AND hot, the compressor freezes.
Just about to hit 2,200 miles. Back in Salt Lake last Saturday and picked the car from the shop (we had left it there for the AC to get fixed). AC is now flawless, also got an alignment as apparently the trail activity in Moab messed it up a bit. Only thing that’s still there is the weird stereo issue after some time on bumpy trails: it just starts sounding terrible as if a connector was loose, but fixes itself. after some time back on paved roads. No other issues and this car continues to impress me. The P300 keeos exceeding my expectations on the highway, plenty of mountain roads and climbing and passing other cars is effortless. Similarly, off road capabilities for my skill and interests is amazing. Just today we took it to the Barracks Trail in the Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park area in Southern UT and it was a breeze (trail did almost cost me my marriage, as I had told my wife it would be a quick and easy trail, so when we got to the couple tough spots it does have, she wasn’t amused
). Funny story, I stopped at the gate of the State Park to ask if the trail was open and she responds “Yes, but I would not take your new Bronco there, there is too much sand” I just thanked her and went on my way… Good that I have a Defender, because 2:30 hrs later we had conquered the trail with only one battle scar (a dent on the undercarriage protection) which was really all my fault for being lazy and not ask my wife to spot me at a rocky place. Anyway, cannot be happier with my purchase! Couple thousand miles to go before it gets home to SoFL after a week and a half more of fun.

After the 5,275 mile maiden voyage the D90 made it home in SoFL a few weeks back. Zero issues, zero gremlins (knock on wood as I don’t want to jinx it). Finally got it ceramic coated and tinted the front windows to make it more comfortable in the FL sun. Loving this car. Now to figure where the next offroad outing will be.

P.S. If you are local to SoFL, John at www.advanceddetailingsofla.com os THE guy for ceramic coating, PPF, etc.

Looks like a blast. How fast you get to at Bonneville.
Your photography efforts are stellar.
Looks like your Goodyear Adventures held up well.

The Adventures worked extremely well, no issues whatsoever. I have heard and read about the issues others are having, but luckily that wasn’t the case for us, and we did get into some challenging trails. On those we aired down to about 30 PSI and they worked like a charm (given the issues we knew about, we were extra vigilant for potential tire-killing rocks and obstacles). All in all no complaints on the tires.
