^ because they are the worlds factory. Odds are they are using the same OEM specs to produce and could actually be a supplier to JLR. Sounds like you'd be amazed how much of the Defender is made in Asia.

Like it or not, half the **** we're all buying from the big vendors (Lucky8, NDP, PowerfulUK, Hunters Prestige etc...) are all coming from Chinese Manufacturers.

I'm not saying these are high quality perfect items, but I've purchased from Summer before with no issues so I'm willing to inquire to see how these could work out. Soft close doors for this car is soemthing I've wanted for a while and the only one I've seen do it so far is a Ukranian outfit.

I would consider it, except I've already got the rear soft close door from Hunters Prestige. It uses the OEM parts for the conversion. I haven't installed it yet but I do have it in the garage waiting for some time to put it in.

I'm guessing they probably are not out of the same factory, but maybe so. Frankly it is not worth the savings to risk it. Too much labor and hassle involved and Land Rover parts aren't that expensive.

I spoke with Hunter Prestige today. They are developing a kit with in the new year with OEM parts. The issue is that the wiring is not there so will be curious to see how they overcome that. Not that excited to cut into a loom.

If hunter is working on it I agree I'd wait, for OEM parts given this is going to be spliced or some how worked into the factory wiring. Thanks for that information too.

Hi All,
I am newbie here with recent purchase of 2018 RR HSE Dynamic 3.0 SC. I was spoiled by M6 BMW with soft-close doors and with previous ownership of European cars.

I will greatly appreciate if anyone knows someone in the San Diego or even in Southern California that might be able to install the retrofit kit? I can buy OEM parts that are about $200-$300 more than Ebay and other Chinese sellers.
Next question, have anyone install the retrofit kit on their own and have some instructions when it comes to wiring?

Thanks in advance and looking forward to this community for years to come.
