Thank you all for this thread.

i have the Lucky8 side steps and I am debating on the install. Typically, I lean towards doing it right but it seems like a lot to take off all the molding.

For those of you that skip this step, what did you use to do the cut outs of the molding while on the vehicle?

Also, any regrets or issues with his approach?

thank you for this..... any idea if this guide will work with the snailfly ebay aftermarket side steps for the 110 us?

when you say smaller side bolts can you show that image please?

this is the same mounting set i have...were you successful in your install wiht only the two vertical bolts?

l used just the larger vertical bolts and the steps are absolutely fine, not entirely sure why the smaller bolts are necessary.

I suppose Land Rover must have thought they were necessary though.

I think that unless you weigh 500 pounds or plan to use the side steps as rock sliders you'll be fine with just the larger bolts.
