For anyone who uses the compressor regularly for airing up (as opposed to throwing it in the back in case you ever get a flat or something) I highly recommend a flexible rubber hose to replace those horrific hard plastic coily hoses that come with just about all portables (at least all Viairs.) Flexilla is my go-to. One nice thing about the Flexilla is that if you leave your compressor running too long (it only takes a few seconds) without air flowing into the tire or just bypassing out into the atmosphere as you're walking between tires, it WILL burst any hose as it builds high pressures very fast. The Flexilla usually (always, in my experience) bursts right at the fitting, which is nice because it can be cut and reattached to the fitting without losing any length. Ask me how I know these things. [Some compressors, like the 400p Automatic, cut off when the trigger is not pressed; I have the 400p non-automatic, unfortunately. The extra fiddy bucks or whatever it is would have been worth it, as many times as I've blown up hoses.]

And also, add a quality inflator so you can read your pressure without disconnecting the hose and using a separate gauge. And get one with a long enough hose on it (between the actuator trigger/gauge and the air chuck) that you can stand up while inflating. It takes a few minutes, as we all know, and your knees will thank you. I have a name-brand one but this is probably fine. I'm a fan of analog for air gauges, but that's probably just old school thinking.

Ah, I didn't know the 400P came any other way but automatic... That's definitely my favorite feature of that model, I have used other speedy compressors but the auto shutoff while you move from tire to tire is awesome.

yeah, I have to remember to hold the trigger down the whole time. I’m hoping I invested the $50 savings in structured notes or bit coin or Tesla back in 2014 when I saved it by buying the cheap-*** non-automatic 400p.

Check out our on-board solution for the Arb twin compressor. This powerful compressor inflates our big tires in no time! Beats the oem in price and performance. Our new favorite mod.

Well done @Saltek Motorsports !! Love that. May have to sell my ARB and move up. Did you manufacture a bracket that you sell? Would love to check it out. My caveat is that I've got a winch with a large-@$$ power cable about there and I have a manual shut off. May have to re-route. Behind that, up in the corner I've mounted my Trigger Controller. But, I'm optimistic I might be able to route it all in.

Great work!

NM - Found it on your site. Link for anyone else.

I love this solution! Consider me onboard once you have the P300 aux bracket sorted or Spring arrives, whichever comes first!

I do not recognize the above mentioned situations, my Viair 485c onboard is hosed inside with the Flexzilla 3/8"putting 200psi to the pressure regulator.
Outside to the safety coupler 160psi. No problems at all. Maybe you got a bad Batch of the Flexzilla...

If you have the compressor running without the air chuck on a tire valve, you are just pumping air into the hose, and it can't escape. It doesn't take very long at all to exceed the bursting strength of the hose because the internal volume of a 25' half-inch hose is very little. I assume your 485 has an automated cut-off for that situation so you don't exceed the pressure rating of the hose. It's farther up the food chain than my 400p.

@Saltek Motorsports - I've been spending way too much time looking at your bracket, the twin ARB and trying to convince myself to upgrade a perfectly fine compressor!<g> Anyway, for the life of me, I can't figure out why the add of the manifold. Is that because the quick release can't go straight into the compressor without being hit when the hood closes? I thought the ARB manifolds were needed to isolate more air couplings for things like lockers. The only thing I can see it being used for is to relocate the hose quick-connect. Likely I know less about compressors than I thought!!
