Default Alarm not igniting, side mirrors not folding in

Hey Team,

My 2021 Defender has started having issues with the alarm. for the first few days, the alarm was randomly going off every 10 minutes or so, if car was locked.

Now, if I hit lock, I get the 2 beep response, and the mirrors dont fold in, but the car is locked. The app will notify me that the car is unlocked though...

Anyone else have this issue? when I searched the forum, nothing relevant came up for me.

Defender has 88k miles on it - curious if it's a battery problem? never has been replaced....

Thank you in advance for any insight you might have!

Probably the hood latch is not fully closed or something in that system not ringing true.

id open and close the hood a few times to see if I can replicate/eliminate it.

Battery would trigger some weird stuff like taillights staying off. Could be doors / hood locking issues.

thanks, I went through each door, and the hood, made sure it was all clean, and latching securely and everything is good. but yes it beeps as if a door is open, but no indications on the dashboard of something not being fully closed either.

Try locking with the FOB, distance FOB from vehicle and try all of the doors. Likely a door latch isn’t locking.

it ended up being my rear driver's side door! I brushed this off because I was assuming that if it was the door, it would be warning me that the door was also open on the dashboard -

I went through with my finger(screw driver might be best) and manually pushed in (on the door) the latch that attaches/connects and made sure it worked, and then released them by opening the outside of each door handle, all while the doors were still open, I went one by one, and after the latch was rest on the rear driver side, the car now fully locks.

Thanks team for the suggestion!

Get a new battery. It is due one. Not saying that is the cause of your issue.

great suggestion, I was curious how long I should expect this battery to last - is there a general suggestion in the forums of best option? I'll go pick up one just as a preventative measure -
