Anyway to get rid of the Comfort mode with just a normal driving mode?
I recently got a usa P400 and I don't think I will last more than a year with this thing because the only available driving modes for the street are Eco or Comfort. Honestly, they are both pretty much the same since they both restrict the pedal input. I do a ton of city driving for work and need a zippy vehicle to keep up with the flow of traffic. Currently, at 2 lane stop lights I get overtaken by CRV's and Foresters unless I floor it like a teenager. I just would like the vehicle to get power as I press the pedal and not gradually over 1.5 seconds. Has anyone had issues with this and found a solution? (other than switching to the V8) Any tuning to get rid of that delay when you start to go?
I wondered the same thing. I fear the only way to address it is to get something like this Pedal Commander. I've had something like this previously on a Dodge Ram and it was a riot.
JLRs are so much more finnicky and I get super apprehensive about doing anything to affect warranty. Though since this is totally plug and play I do feel like its worth taking the risk. Maybe someone else can chime in and say if they've had any experience with it.

Seems silly. I mean its not like the Defender with the 6cyl is 'slow' its just artificially restricting the throttle for emmissions/mpgs/or whatever its doing.
More power isn't needed, killing the restrictions is the goal.
I do believe the pedal commander will do it based on past experience.

You don't need to upgrade to the V8 to get dynamic mode, it can be coded in to the P400 and there are members here who can do it (and a lot more) on both the east and west coasts.
I've not been unhappy with the throttle response on my P400. Moving the transmission to sport makes it more responsive, but even in D it's certainly not sluggish. Maybe something is going on with your adaptive learning in your transmission? You could reset the adaptive learning for the ZF on past BMWs with some specific key and pedal sequences, I don't know if there are similar resets for the ZF in our Defenders.
But you shouldn't need any coding or pedal commanders - maybe there's something your dealer needs to investigate.

hi, I personally drive a d200 3.0 diesel, it doesn't seem lazy in its response to the accelerator.
I bought a tool from a Canadian company to read errors, adjust suspensions and change parameters. thanks to this you can set the dynamic mode which modifies various engine, steering and suspension parameters. only annoyance is that every time you turn off the car, it goes back to confort....
cheers

Have you tried it in "S" mode (move the gear shift to the left)
Makes quite a difference in my D250!
Unfortunately it disengages when you apply the handbrake but not if you use the auto brake hold.
l know it's an obvious suggestion, but nobody has mentioned it.
