How does dynamic mode compare vs sport mode in the p400 for you guys? Big difference?

Sport mode... as in "S" in the transmission?

Much different.

Usually on highway now I run Dynamic mode and S (sport) transmission. Around town just Dynamic mode.

I drive this thing ... "with pace"... most of the time (ie I drive pretty much all my cars like I drive a Porsche)... and in Dynamic mode, I am much happier with how the P400 motor and especially the transmission anticipates my inputs and is "more ready" than when it's not in Dynamic mode. My biggest complaint with the P400 from new was the lazy shifting behavior. Dynamic mode fixes this totally.

Sports mode I hardly feel anything but dynamic is much more noticeable. After driving on highways with dynamic mode I feel the smoke/engine smell when parking. This tells it’s doing what it needs to do. Sometimes I feel good with this and sometimes I feel I’m busting the engine to max lol. Overall a great fan of dynamic mode.

@nashvegas do you go to dynamic directly or to sports and then use the rotary to shift to dynamic than on the screen? After activation here and sometimes when I do from the screen it doesn’t pickup and I do rotary most of the time

Good to know, I hate when I'm pulling out into traffic the vehicle takes a second to move. I have to do this.

Whats the reasoning that LR doesn't add Dynamic mode to P400's anymore?

Is this the tool I would need to enable dynamic mode, save start/stop, disable seatbelt chime function etc.? https://lucky8llc.com/products/gap-d...35e09502&_ss=r

Great quesiton, wish I knew the answer as well. Its not like it costs them anything, why not just have it on there to increase the value equation of the P400? What's the harm?

Excuse my ignorance here, but what do you mean by rotary?

You can select driving modes either in the touchscreen or using the the rotating **** that’s below the screen. That’s what I meant as rotary

Do you have to reset factory defaults before you bring it to a dealer to avoid warranty issues?
