Anyway to get rid of the Comfort mode with just a normal driving mode?
I can only select Dynamic mode via the touchscreen on my p300
Thank you everyone for the great responses. I'm going to try the Gap IID Tool and program in dynamic mode. I think that'll get rid of the delay in power from a dead stop or when overtaking someone on the highway. The p400 is very powerful and I knew that there had to have been something out there to unlock it.
True. Dynamic is like Auto Mode in that respect (auto is part of the advanced terrain response package whatever they're calling it). Can only select on touchscreen, not via dial.
So... on far left side I have Dynamic, and far right side I have auto, and both of those are touch only to enable. The rest of the terrain modes can be selected via the dial, or via touch.

But saying the vehicle is 'locked' is not correct: the diagnostics are not locked to one VIN and as such, the IIDTool can be used on any number of vehicles (for instance to help a buddy out of trouble on the trail). It is only the special programming functions that are VIN locked.
@stevemfr aha I guess you are one of the geniuses behind this ! Cool.
I have a related and a somewhat unrelated question.
-- Is there a way to make dynamic mode default when starting the car? Auto definitely "Sticks" across drive cycles/ignition cycles. Is it something similar to "last state enable" ie the start/stop function?
-- Is there a way to "clear" the data on MPG/fuel mileage/range calculations/ECO data and start fresh on the memory there with the GapIID tool? Long story but I swear my car has a bug or other software issue here... my fuel range often shows dismally low range when the tank is full. (I'm guessing it's based on prior driving data or something..) I want to see if I can zero it out. Clearing the trip odometer doesn't do it.

...We work our tails off to get this thing to function properly without hiccups - even for non-pro users with little or no mechanical/diagnostic experience. Trust me, none of us is getting rich.
Yes, there are 2 versions for several reasons: 1. the IIDTool reads and stores settings on the vehicle as it's used for, amongst other things, a 'restore' function in case anyone gets into trouble and needs to go back to factory vehicle settings. The hardware on the individual user unit is not made for larger numbers of vehicles to keep costs down (though for people with more than one Land Rover, you can purchase an additional vehicle license). 2. We need to make money to pay the bills so we can continue to bring you increasingly better products. See my first comment

Registration and initial set-up are more time-consuming than actually using the tool. Anyone who has ever used an OBD2 should have no problem with it at all. Once I set up my account and did the firmware updates, I had Dynamic Mode added in less than 10 minutes.
It blows away any other option available in terms of diagnostic depth and the vast amount of information available if you ever need it.
Thanks for clarifying that it can be used on another LR for diagnostics. It's still worth buying your own to have in the truck for those special Land Rover moments when you run into trouble. Also very much worth it, to me, to be able to unlock features.
Stop hesitating, pay these guys, they've built a great product.

Does the dynamic mode also tighten the suspension? I have a new to me 2020 110 w/ air suspension and it feels “floaty” under normal driving.
if I’m driving aggressively it feels like it tightens up but then reverts back to the floaty feeling the next time I’m in the car.
any advice/information is greatly appreciated.

I always drive in auto mode. I haven't noticed any of the power lag you describe. I'd suggest trying that mode for a week to see if your experience changes.
Have you tried creating a custom drive mode? I haven't tried anything for street use, but I have my own off-road configuration and it works well.
