that's exactly what happens........iPhone is still connected to the iPhone setting. You have to reset or switch to another setting on your screen (Sirius/XM, AM, FM, etc)

I had something similar happen today, iphone was connected via bluetooth, couldn't hear any music from the phone until I turned the volume on the vehicle up to 90% and then just hear it softly. Went back to look at the phone and adjusted the volume upward there, now the volume is loud, back to normal. It wasn't set super low on the phone so I dunno. Apparently there's something out of synch sometimes with the volume slider on the phone as it relates to the stereo. Hard to say, but anyway, that's what happened today. I would think the volume slider on the phone should either relate 1 to 1 with the stereo in this situation or be completely separate. IMO. Annoying too is when you switch back to Sirius after the phone and it's blasted. The latter happened with Audi too so I guess I'll give that one a pass.

I saw this in November a year on and Landrover haven’t fixed it did the dealership fix it?

I think that’s a separate issue. That volume issue occurs when connecting a mobile device to other devices. It’s annoying for sure but at least there’s functioning volume. In most of the cases, including mine, the volume function is completely disabled. Volume settings in settings goes away completely. No sound for navigation, radio, satellite radio, mobile audio, etc. I’m going to try some of the suggestions and see what happens.

Me, 2 days ago. MY25.5 a month old. First issue of any kind. Started the car, no sound coming from the PiviPro system, Apple Car Play or otherwise. Powered phone off/on, turned car off and back on, no help. Drove to the supermarket 10 minutes away, car sat for 40 minutes, came back started it up and all worked fine again. Clueless.

It's just a normal part of the Land Rover ownership experience and the charm of British vehicles. Both our Defenders do this from time to time. The LR4's had a bonus feature where sometimes sound would only come out of the left or right side speakers.

If you are driving in silence, you can also stop, get out, lock the vehicle and wait a few minutes for the infotainment screen to go dark. Then unlock, restart and enjoy the music.

You can also do a hard reset by disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery under the passenger seat for a few minutes. I still carry a 10mm wrench in both our Defenders for just this purpose. Our 2021 and 2023 had another issue where the power steering would occasionally disappear after being parked, requiring a hard reset. So far it appears they removed this feature for the 2025 model year.

Excellent advice, thank you.

This is the 10mm wrench I carry in both our Defenders. My wife has had to use it a couple of times to do a hard reset and bring the power steering back.
