I'm interested in the coil spring lift but want to still be able to park in my garage. Do you know the actual clearence (including the fin) for a 110 with this set-up? (is it as simple as adding 2 inches to the stock height? Not sure if the fin is included in that measurement).
Just make sure your garage has a higher ceiling than the Philadelphia Airport parking garage. At stock on coils, I'm already at the limit...
Google says that the Philadelphia airport garage height restriction is 6'2" - that shouldnt be acceptable for an airport . The clearence for Denver International is around 8' so that is nice.
I think my garage is ~83" and the stock height of the 110 is 77.4" (but not sure how the fin/antenna is counted for).
It didn't occur to me to google it. Glad to know Denver is higher - we are literally thinking of moving to Denver/Boulder now that we're empty nesters. Maybe I get Sarek's lift installed before we move!
As requested, the Sarek coil spring lift kit on a completely stock truck. We did install 275 60 r20 BFG KO2s in addition to the lift. The specs on the rear springs are +2" with 750# of added load. The front springs are +1.5" with 250# of added load. We had the factory coil springs tested and calibrated to determine factory rates. We then requested the additional height and load while maintaining the factory ride quality. As you can see with a completely empty vehicle with no accessories, there will be some additional height in the rear. Once the vehicle is loaded up with gear accessories and so on, we did not want that squat in the rear. The ride quality is fantastic while achieving very good lift. We offer the springs installed at Sarek Autowerke located in Richmond Virginia with multiple color choices available and custom height and load options. This client chose
Can I get 2” lift coils for the front and rear? I definitely want the extra lift in both and the rear. And I don’t like the slanting down look of the 1.5” front end.
I really enjoy my D110 and D90. They are in different states, but totally adaptable to my needs. Although a big fan of this forum, I remained puzzled how many expect an OEM Defender to be a perfect off-roader. Most OEM’s aren’t. However, I have been to the Sarek facility. If you are really into Defender off-roading, I don’t think you can do any harm talking to the Sarek team. They seem to run a great shop and seem to be able to make any Defender to fit your needs. Enjoy. PS I’m not sure they can improve the merridian subwoofer and the Expass transponder placement might not be their forte.
