Default Bottle jack recommendations?

Was planning on getting Safe Jack with extensions… but apparently they don’t make their own jacks and you will get one of several brands. I’ll get their extension kit, but any recommendation as to which bottle jack to get.

I am leaning toward Torin Big Red 10 ton. It looks like the Safe Jack extensions will fit.

thanks!

Just found Harbor Freight Daytona 12 ton… looks pretty good. The HF Pittsburgh looks good too, not sure of the difference.

Was going to say Harbor Freight - I got the tall 12 ton one and made a baseplate for it out of 2x12 with a routed outline.

I have yet to find a bottle jack that has the range of lift needed to get the air suspensioned tires off the ground. I, too, would love a recommendation from someone who has one that actually works.

According to the last entry by @BritCars in this thread https://landroverforums.com/forum/20...-126009/page3/ you need over 10" of lift to get the tires off the ground. That jack only has a 7.5" lift, so it seems like it wouldn't work. Do you have one and have verified it works on an air suspension Defender?

The Torin Big Red is double ram - over 16" height. I've used it on the trail to change a wheel.

The jack can get to 16", but only has a lift of 7.5". Did you use this on the standard chassis lift points, or somewhere else? Do you have air suspension?
