Carplay Wireless and Wired Both Flaky
ditto. Might be the first car where wireless CarPlay worked just about flawlessly. iPhone 12 Pro and always use CarPlay wirelessly. On my prior SQ8 it was very flakey and on the Ram TRX only occasionally flakey.
Question. How do you get WIRED CarPlay to work? I can't seem to figure it out now.
My wireless CarPlay has gone from superb and reliable the past couple years, to utterly useless in the past week (unsure why - maybe the new iOS). But even if I plug in the USBC cable, I can't get CarPlay to work. I guess I could try a USBA cable down there below the gear lever, but shouldn't the USBC cable work ?

I have to do this every time I get a loaner car to deactivate CarPlay.
Yep, the box is ticked. Everything is in order. It's just flaky. And then randomly, it does work. Then stops working after 10 mins in the car. Then works a bit later. Then stops. Super weird. Have tried all the usual stuff. Happens on both phones in the house (iPhone 15 pro, and a new iPhone 16 pro. Grr. So I think it's the car.
I gave up on CarPlay altogether because it was so unreliable. Plus I didn't like the way the map displayed when navigating. I find the built in system in Pivi to be pretty good. Not perfect, but not bad at all.
