Hi, do you need change the module or somethig like a fuel pump? coz today have the same problem in the same vehicle model

Today, while driving on rhe highway, my truck's gear shifts became very jerky. The check engine light came on, and the engine was getting weaker and stalling. I pulled over to the shoulder, and the engine shut down as per the tach. i tried to restart but no luck. The engine would turn over but not fire. I let things sit for a few minutes. It restarted , and the jerky shifts seemed to go away but the check engine light stayed lit. I drove slowly to the dealership which was just a mile away. The dealership said they had no loaners and that they would not pick up the costs of a rental. Anyway, I left the vehicle there and am waiting on them. My vehicle is a 2021 base defender 110 with cold climate package and clearsight. Pivipro is at 3.0. 8700 miles trouble free so far.Any similar experiences?PS My wife picked me up at the dealer and the first words out of her month was "The English patient took a turn for the worse?"
Posting today to keep the community up to date on my related issue. Quick recap, every couple months, on a warm start, my P300 2023 defender would stall, right after starting and as I was shifting from P into R or D. Engine sputters, stalls, sometimes restarts, sometimes just cranks without firing until I get out of the car, lock/unlock, then it restarts. So it never stranded me. CEL on afterwards all three times since I bought it used in March of 2024. Last time it happened, I drove straight to the dealership so they could read the code (previous 2 times, the CEL would clear after a couple drive cycles). It has supossedly been fixed, below is a copy/paste from the dealership here in Atlanta:
FUEL PUMP DRIVER MODULE INTERNAL OPEN CIRCUIT WHEN HOT DIAGNOSED, PREFORMED FAULT AND BREAKDOWN. PREFORMED DATALOGGER TEST AND CHECKS, CHECK POWER AND GROUND TO FPDM.
FOUND WHEN FPDM IS ABOVE AMBIENT TEMP, LOSES POWER, FOUND INTERNAL OPEN WHEN HOT. REPLACED FPDM AND RELAY. RESET FUEL ADAPTATIONS AND CLEARED CODES, TEST DROVE, SYSTEM OPERATING TO SPECS AT THIS TIME, SEE SERVICE ADVISOR

Thanks for posting. Sounds a bit like the issue mine had and my dealer never was able to figure it out. I would totally be printing out your post in bringing it in to my dealer if I still owned it. The stall by itself wasn't a deal breaker but everything else on top of that was too much for me to justify hanging in there with it. Good luck, I hope they've fixed it.
Welp, back in the shop as the fix from July didn’t work, apparently. Went to start the car on Wednesday to head home from the office and it stalled three times in a row while in park. In the past it would stall when shifted into gear. Same code thrown. Dealer now working with JLR tech support on diagnosis. Fingers crossed.
Not to hijack the thread/conversation but I experienced a similar condition to I'm posting it here.
Vehicle: NA P400-110x, Sept '23MY, ±38,900 miles, Pivi 4.2.1. Air temp ±42~32F as per vehicle dash gauge.
The amber check engine light came on this past Friday during a one stop (traffic lights aside), 40 mile, round trip. Light came on ±5mi from start of first leg leaving home. Trip was 20mi each way with 2.5hr stop between legs, vehicle appeared to run normally on all legs of freeway and city streets, parking, etc, with no stuttering or other oddities in behavior (i.e. clearly not in Limp-Home-Mode). Upon returning home I popped the gas cap and resealed it having gotten a whiff of gas fumes (not unexpected as vehicle was still warm). The next day - Saturday - the check engine light went out and is still out having driven on two short round trips Sat evening and this morning (Sunday) of 2~3mi each.
FJ Cruiser: I had a similar experience with a new (3mths owned) 2014 FJ Cruiser. The material difference being the FJs check engine light came on and it went into Limp-Home-Mode (an obvious state in any vehicle). Upon arriving home and sitting over the weekend, the vehicle required pickup by flat bed tow truck to get to the dealer for a checkup as the FJ remained in Limp-Home-Mode. It sat 3 days @ dealer before being serviced (Xmas time). Kicker: the dealer could NOT get the condition to repeat - the error had cleared - no fault code stored - FJ was running normal and as expected on their test drive. In the +decade and +100K miles I drove that rig it never had a similar, or any mechanical, event on or off-road. After that event occurred, I purchased the 2014 equivalent to today's LRD GAP tool and used it for general checking in on things and personal piece of mind when traveling but never had technical need for it (i.e. Insurance).
This recent occurrence with my 110x is odd to be sure but I'm passing it along here to see if others have experienced anything similar or wish to share insights. My current plan is to swing by LRD service (it's closest) Monday and have it checked for any fault codes. This may be the excuse I needed/wanted to pickup the GAP tool to keep onboard for our assorted on/off piste travels
Aside from this gremlin the 110x has been solid.

My car was in the shop all last week. LR Buckhead here in Atlanta handed the work. Since this was the second time the car was in for the same issue, they contacted JLR Technical Assistance, who instructed them to replace the water pump. Unfortunately my service advisor said they were not given any specific explanation for why this was the case. I'd note there were two codes thrown both times the car was in the shop for this same issue, one related to fuel pump relay (which was what was sorted in July, last time it was in the shop) and a second code related to a water pump fault. In July, the shop foreman told me all the cars come in with that same fault stored, and that it was nothing, just a JLR software glitch effectively. He was not in today so I couldn't ask him about it.
If I want to think optimistically about this, the shop foreman may be wrong and the water pump fault code may be real. JLR TA hopefully confirmed and had them replace the water pump. I'm not sure how a flukey water pump could cause a stall situation, but perhaps if the ECU receives a message from the water pump that it is malfunctioning, perhaps it causes the car to shut down? Again, an optimistic guess. Time will tell, will drive the car and see what occurs over the coming months. I was not losing any coolant btw, no reason to think the water pump was having issues. Welcome anyone's thoughts on this, of course.
Thanks!

Well, almost made it a year. Last night my 110 (P300) failed to start the first time I pushed the Start button (foot was firmly covering brake). It started the second time, but ran like crap once I put it in gear, with CEL on. Made it out of a parking lot, car was bucking, so pulled over, shut engine off. Tried to restart, engine spun but would not fire. Seen this script before, so got out of car, locked car, unlocked car, got back in. Car started this time with CEL still on (not flashing, never did, just solid). Got home and immediately grabbed an appt online for this morning. Drove over and dropped off, and asked foreman to read CEL code. Threw a bunch of codes but the common one from earlier experiences was a fuel pump signal issue. This is essentially the third time it's been in for this, so I do not know where we go from here if they can't solve. Love my truck, as it's a 110 30th Anniversary, so it's decked out perfectly for my needs.
