Default Classic Mud Flap Question

I have the OEM larger mud flaps on my 2023 110. I am thinking of taking them off entirely. Is that possible or are there holes that will show?

Also, anyone gone from the larger ones to the smaller? Is it easier than installing new which looks like a difficult job (drilling).

From what I have seen the holes will be on the underside of the black trim.

The front mud flaps require holes drilled into the front side trim panels. See pictures below. The rears don’t require holes drilled where you can see them.

There’ll be visible holes on the side for both the front and back mud flaps. You can easily go from large to small. I went from small to large (dealer installed wrong style on delivery) and they use the same holes.
