Default Cleaning & maintaining wood laminate?

Just curious what folks are doing regarding cleaning/maintaining wood laminate trim pieces in their Defenders. Never given it much thought until the other day.

I know it’s thin wood (laminate) but could you use some sort of wood oil to clean/restore richness / new appearance? Nothing mentioned in manual from what I saw.

Are the wood trim pieces real wood or just plastic and wood looking?

they are real wood

I haven't done anything to 'treat' them so far... it does make sense though that some neatsfoot oil or something that won't change the color on them might help long term longevity

they are a very thin wood laminate but all of the pieces have a finish on them which would be largely impenetrable to any basic wood finishing oil like a Danish oil. No wood could survive in an automobile environment without a UV proof finish. Any ceramic or graphene product would do the trick.

Wood advice seems questionable based on username 😉
