My 2021 defender just did software update.
But now It has disabled my emergency braking assist and collision assistance etc.
has anyone had this issue and how do I reset it?

 

My update also disabled emergency braking assist, collision assist, etc. Also noticed it no longer displays speed limit signs (and other signs) on the instrument display. I'm planning to call my dealership today.

 

I've been getting an "Emergency Steering and Emergency Braking Not Available" dash warning since they day I took delivery October 2020. Been at the dealership multiple times to address it with no avail. Back at the dealership again for the last few weeks to fix various other issues and attempt to fix that dash warning again. I've been told they are dealing with software issues relating to those systems for some time.

 

We recently downloaded/installed the 2.10e version and all seems to work fine. We didn’t order the hotspot function but the updates seem to have turned it on. I can now turn the hotspot on and see a reference to an ATT sim network. 🤷‍♂️

no other warnings otherwise.

 

I have all the same problems with my Discovery after the update. No emergency braking warning, no traffic sign recognition, no driver monitoring, no lane keeping, and no cruise control or adaptive cruise control. Has anyone been able to resolve these problems?

 

Now that you mention it, my speed limit sign recognition is also gone after the last software update. I'll wait and see if the next update restores it.

 

I had a service appointment today to fix this, and they did.

Not sure what they did, but the knew about the problem. All was resolved in about 8 hours; emergency braking, cruise control, limiter, sign recognition, etc.

Recommend a service appointment to get it resolved. My dealer said don’t agree to any future software updates, haha.
