Defender Refresh
I should have written 8-10 year cycle for the other LR models, but the Defender will definitely be on a longer cycle.
The previous Defender lasted for almost 33 years.

I’m not sure why anyone would seriously consider being the beta tester for the new GX Land Cruiser or 4runner. All three are first year models with highly stressed turbo engines and software defined features and capabilities. I’d wait at least three years to avoid the initial teething issues they will all have. Based on the experience with the 22+ Toyota tundras with glitchy infotainment center systems bad turbos, and blown engines, I can’t recommend anything new coming from Toyota.
I've been lurking this forum for a bit with eyes on a new/used Defender in the next 8-12 months. I'm waiting to see what's in store for the 25MY before making a decision. With the OCTA debuting in July I would think if we don't see any sort of refresh on it, then one would be several MY's down the road as other have suggested. To me it wouldn't make sense for JLR to drop a pricey "new" OCTA and then turn around and refresh the vehicle a year or two later. I'd think they'd want to let it breathe.
Not as ancient as the old model was, when they stopped producing in in 2016
