Default Disabling headlight washers

My 23.5 has leaked from bothe headlight washers since day 1.

This is my second vehicle with headlight washers, and I really don't have any use for them. I know there's a bulletin out to fix it, but I would rather just disable them permanently.

I read elsewhere that all washers run from a common pump, so disabling the pump is not a good solution as i still want windshield and rear glass washers.

Does anyone have any shop manual info on reservoir location? I think I just want to disconnect the fluid li especially from the reservoir and plug the holes. Plan B would be to disconnect the lines from the sprayers if they just pop out from the headlight surrounds. Does anyone know if that works, or if the whole surround needs to come off?

I know in the LR4 it was one big washer fluid tubing harness. When the mice in our garage chewed through the tubing they had to replace the entire system including dropping the headliner to run the tubing to the rear washer. Then reinstalling the light gray headliner with filthy hands leaving black handprints all over the headliner.

I'm guessing you don't drive in winter darkness when the headlight washers do a decent job of blasting off road salt grime on trips to ski.

The only idea that comes to mind is putting a drop of superglue over the tiny headlight nozzles. But that could permanently ruin them if you decide you want to resume their function.

Mine did the same and it really annoyed me. I brought the attached bulletin to my dealer and they fixed the issue under warranty. Leaks gone.

I’ve had my 2020 since 2021 and the headlamp washers have never leaked or dripped once. A leak free experience is entirely possible.

Headlamp washers use a separate pump than front/rear windscreen. FYI, so what you read is incorrect. See below from the LR workshop manual.

See attached PDF. I think this is the relevant sections from the manual. What it doesn’t talk about is the hose routing diagrams etc. If I can find that I’ll upload that but I’m sure that bulletin explains how to fix the problem you have. Find that.
