The newest addition to the Defender, rear door drop-down table. I bought the $50 dollar one on Amazon and then bought a sheet of steel to fabricate attachments and attach to the original screws. I painted them black to blend into the door an

That is a fantastic mod. Was literally looking at this accessory last night.
I retained the original screws to mount it on the steel plate. The top set of screws have a rubber stopper that pushes against the table keeping it nice and tight, no noise at all. I like this table because it still gives you access to the pockets in the back. i did see last night that someone bought the front runner table and cut out the middle metal portion to get access to the pockets. It looked great. The whole front runner table mounts to four screws on each corner giving it a larger weight load with two crossbars providing additional support. Even though they say my table can hold 80 pounds, I wouldn't go over 30 pounds on this table mod. I plan on using it for light stuff anyways as I have a Trail Kitchen that I use for cooking.
There's a guy from the Ukraine on a Facebook group - called All New Defender Offroad, you have to be a member to see posts there - selling a table kit specifically for the new Defender - no cutting or drilling required, for 110 Euros (plus 20/25 bucks shipping to the US.)
