Either way, I would visit the dealer... just my 2 cents.
Bought a 2l Discovery 5 in April 2022. For a good few months now, I've been adding coolant every other day, sometimes twice a day. JLR specialists had the system under pressure over night, and couldn't find any leaks or cracks. Ended up taking it to a different mechanic, who said it was likely to be the intake charge cooler. It was leaking Coolant into the intake manifold.
Drove it home (all fine) but a mile from home, the 'coolant low' warning light is back (50 mile drive). Opening the bonet/hood, the coolant isn't low, but the whole inside of the bonet/hood feels&smells very hot, although the engine temp gauge is 'normal' / 50%.
Any suggestions - already had a service and this repair this month, at over £1,500 cost, and it's driving me in sane!

Thanks in advance

Dealing with it right now myself. I was hoping if this is a common problem they'd be stocking more. Unfortunately its on national back order and no telling when it'll be back in stock. For now I have a fairly nice loaner so I can't complain too much but I'm paying a (expensive to me) car note on something thats sitting there collecting dust on their lot. I just want my truck back. It would be less daunting if there was some idea of when it'd be back in stock, but no one knows. Could be a week. Could be 6 months. no one can tell me anything.

Hi - just wondering how this ended up. I've got a very similar situation with the Discovery 5 - have been into a number of garages and the dealer, had under pressure test and they can't find the leak at all. I need to top up daily - had the whole expansion tank replaced, drove it home (50 miles) and the warning light came on again....Am tearing my hair out!
