Default Extended fenders flares Q?

Greetings folks, I am asking help from the ones among us that have installed the extended fender flares or ordered their Defender with them.

Do the rear fenders tend to get damages/pitted from having rocks thrown at them?? I had a Jeep wrangler with the black plastic fender flares and they got quite a beating from rocks in the winter, or gravel roads in the summer. So I’m wondering if these LR extended flares get the same treatment. I found that painted fenders covered in PPF were the way to go to keep things looking nice.

Ps. I do have the big LR mud flaps.

Also, would you do it again ?

Pic for attention

It can happen - I have some stone chips, but not a lot. The arch protection does help. I'd rather have the plastic arches get beat up and replaced than stone chips. I didn't spec it originally - I put them on a little over a year ago and would happily do it again.

I have the extended plastic wheel arches and large LR mudflaps and haven't seen any pitting or damage to either. My 110 is 3.5 years old and I'm in the NE, so lots of grit and road salt in the winter.

I'm installing the wheel arch protection this weekend. After waiting 2 months on a side marker light that's still on backorder, I bit the bullet and purchased the extended wheel arch protection, which happens to include side marker lights.

I took mine off. But now I have Urban wheels with low offsets and grapplers so going to look for a new set since I broke some of the tabs off of them. Lol

I have 3 OEM, brand new flares for sale.

I had an minor accident and needed only a front right flair, but the body shop bought all 4. So the other three are up for grabs. make an offfer. (I'm in Wisconsin, so shipping may be required.)

they're matt dark grey/black color. Msg me if interested.

In reference to the OP, I have 37k on my truck and there are no rock chips on the flares on the truck since new..
