Anyone else notice the tops and outer trim pieces of their side mirrors fading…our car is parked in a garage 80% of the time so not sure why it’s be faded even at all…both sides appear faded as well.

 

Known issue. I have seen a few threads on this. Time for a trip to the dealer. What year do you have.?

 

Hi - yes. Same here, although yours appeared to have gone a bit further down the path. If you
search here for my posts about “mirrors turning purple” I believe I posted up about it last summer.

I brought it up with the Land Rover dealer and they said to bring it in but I never followed up and forgot about it. I’ve seen a couple other Land Roves … Discoveries or Evoques that show the problem too.

 

I must be searching incorrectly cause nothing pulled up with “fading” or “side mirrors”. Usually I have good success with searching.

Sorry bout that. I’ll save this fix for another time where there’s more to leave it with the dealer.

Yes, i tried to claim under warranty but was told it was my fault as i did it with added chemicals, I'll have another try
