I take delivery of the car with the factory cross bars and wanted to check?
you don’t want to have ONLY the OEM rails underneath that tent. You need a rack situation that has cross bars.

do you already have the land rover roof rack? Or just the rails?

if you need a rack I’ve got a brand new frontrunner slimline rack I’m trying to get rid of!

No I have the factory roof rails and the defender factory order cross bars.

“Tartan “ in the chat said these are Thule made (defender branded)

Can someone tell me where I can find the information on the Thule cross bars that are fitted on my defender. In the chat someone mentioned that the factory fitted cross bars are Thule and I want to read up on there info. Want to check the static weight load limit and the dynamic weight load limit.
Help anyone?

I sent a link before from Thule. Not sure why that doesn’t satisfy you. Google Thule crossbars dynamic load and you’ll see some others. They say in many places static is three times dynamic. Time to stop worrying and go with it. You’ll be fine anywhere below 660lbs static including tent and people.

Here is the max capacity link for Thule.

In the first article tartan linked it gives the other part of the load equation.
