Fob Battery or Sleep
I have a 2023.5 110 with 5700 miles. I don't drive often. The car is parked in a garage in New England. After a few/four days of not driving, the car goes into "Sleep" mode. I then can't start the car remotely. Other than driving more often, is there anything that I can do to extend that 4 days?
Also, lately the car is not unlocking when I walk up and touch the button on the handle. I need to take out the remote and hold it closer to the back door. It unlocks and then I need to put the fob under the steering wheel to get the car to start. Is this the fob battery dying? Is 3 years about right for a fob battery?
Cheers

And the four day sleep mode is nothing to do with the actual state of the battery. It's a preprogrammed time. So it shuts down that module too and saves future power drain
I don't believe there is a way to change that.

This is the first time I've heard of "sleep mode." I don't suppose this would stop the apparently-substantial quiescent battery drain? My question would be how can I reduce the time and drain, not extend it?
Also, I've recently had occasional trouble getting my car to unlock too. It's been random and only a few times so far, but I have had to hold the fob up while doing a rain dance or something to get it to work. At less than a year, I can't imagine that the battery is going already? I should stock up.
Eh, electronics! It will be the end of these cars before their time! On that point, I had the black screen of infotainment death today again after I foolishly updated something that sounded semi-important. I think people should half expect problems like that for the first day-ish after an update, but so far they have gone away on their own after that.

Some batteries can fail early. What's the resting voltage of the battery with engine turned off? It may be failing. Modern cars put a lot of strain on batteries.
You could also try disconnecting the battery for 30s to reboot the modules
The remote monitoring feature hardly uses any power. So better drain should be minimal anyway. We were away for nearly 3 wks and the car started right back up when we got back. If you have noticeable battery drain that's causing issues either battery is failing (as above) or a module isn't shutting down properly.
