Yep that is how it works. I use mine all the time. Don’t have a need for extra storage. If I do it can go in the back organizer. Set it to quick cool and then it switches itself to normal. Then stays set to normal until I either turn it off or set it back to quick cool. Keeps my soda nice and cool. Thought I would never use it until my wife had it in hers and I decided it was a must when I bought my own 110.
