My 2020 has had just about the whole system replaced. Very annoying but has not left me stranded.

They need to fix this at the factory. Come on, it's 2026 JLR....! Time to stop cutting costs where it matters. It's your reputation hanging on coolant hoses? Don't cheap out on vital parts JLR.

Nice fix, Nick1. Simple, cheap, yet effective. But looking at the pic of your hack, it appears that there is a sharp ridge on that object that looks like a plastic canister of some kind. Easily redesigned by Land Rover if their engineers were prone to customer feedback and complaints, or even analyzing patterns in their service repairs or parts inventory could be an indicator of design flaws. One can only hope.

Exactly. Those two parts are constantly under stress pushing against each other, not to mention possible engine movements during acceleration. That plastic elbow at the top sooner or later will crack under pressure and heat, unlike JLR execs refusing to see and fix this flawed design.

Yes. Some of it is unnecessary and complicated routing too!

Totally sucks but after this thread Im probably just going to bite the bullet at some point and spend 450 bucks and never think about it again.

Defender V8 and facelift F-Pace SVR come with the metal crossover pipes from the factory.

All other vehicles with the AJ133 V8 have plastic pipes, except for really early Jags and LRs with this engine - initially they had metal pipes but quickly changed to plastic.
