Can someone smarter than me review what I am doing wrong. I have successfully enabled a number of features using the GAP tool however I am having an issue with the park assist.

I have enabled the following features:

After a few reboots it shows up on the screen and I can select the parking space however the Start button is greyed out (although it doesn't look like it it in the image)

I release the brake and attempt to click on start however it does nothing. Has anyone else encountered this issue and if so, how did you resolve it?

I'm running a 2023.5 X with software 4.2.0

don’t release brake until after you press start. It won’t allow you to start if the brake is not depressed.

Thanks - I've tried that and all other combinations which I can think of. Still no dice.

The start button does not want to be pressed.

Some folks with newer MYs should check into the Range Rover forums for park assist GAP settings. I've been trying different combinations for Park Assist (MY 2021 P400) and still haven't gotten beyond the park assist icon when I open the app, so giving up for now. There are some slight variances between the CCF settings I'm seeing here and in cases where the RR guys were able to get it activated.

BTW, one nice surprise I noticed - I reset the entire car's CCF and then reloaded the activations I wanted/actually are usable on my car. The car's software retained all my settings on the previous activations. For example, my dynamic mode settings were the same as before the reset.

@toddler do you have any links to RR discussions? I did a little digging and didn't see much, or find a clean list of CCF's that they change. I'd like to compare what they use to what we've all been trying with hit or miss results.

I did see this statement that gave me a pause....
"Park assist won't work if you have changed the seat belt reminder to off because it is region specific". I have the seat belt reminder turned off, and also can't get the parking assist to work. If I get some time this week I'll change the seat belt reminder to "on" again and see if that help.

- Disable Seatbelt Reminder
MultiCAN-717 Front Belt Minder
Beltminder Fully OFF

I’ll try the belt reminder this week!

The biggest difference I’m seeing is the relearn step. I’d defer to GAP if this is needed for the defender. Looking at some of the earlier MY Defenders vs RRs of the same MY or a little earlier, it looks like they could share the same system.

RR has self park going as far back as 2014. We all know JLR, like any manufacturer, reuses parts. The software diff between RR and LR Defender are the biggest unknowns. This is one of the areas where I can see the JET software being a little more insightful than the GAP’s Bluetooth app.

Also, wanted to add in case others are trying… since upgrading to latest PIVI (4.2 I think), any park assist configuration attempt results in my parking cameras going grey. Quick fault clear on the GAP fixed it, just know PIVI resets won’t help if you’re experiencing this.

Well I tried enabling the belt reminder (I had mine toggled off) in an attempt to get the parking to work. The results were the same. No improvement.

I'm on the 4th reboot of the pivi and have had the car locked/alarmed overnight as well.

There were two versions of the belt reminder warnings, I may try to flip to the other one to see if that helps, but I don't have high hopes.

I have the same issue with Auto Park, where only the "P" symbol appears. I’ve tried restarting the Pivi system several times, but the problem remains the same. If there are any successful attempts, please share the method.

Any way to show gear selection in the HUD all the time? Our V8 shows D when sitting still but then goes off as soon as you start to drive. Would like it to show what gear you're in all the time.
