Final report to close this one. Took some driving to find a place with the proper conditions, but confirmed the system is working as advertised, so another successful activation in the D90 courtesy of the GAP tool and this forum.

 

What's the difference between Calibration 1 and 2 for MultiCAN 758? My 110 V8 has the Calibration 1 by default.

 

That’s a good question. Before making the change my car had Calibration 1. I did some digging and it seems it adds an offset to the camera angle on the IPMA. I was thinking it could be a regional setting. @Defendit.. your profile shows you in the Netherlands, is that accurate? @L460_Rocks you are US located right? If that is the case I might go back to calibration 1 and test if it still works properly.
