Sounds like a software tweak. The GAP boffins will probably be able to activate it. Hopefully we can add it to the list in due time.

ATPC is a cool toy to play with. I'd not miss it if I didn't have it and I definitely wouldn't pay extra for it. Same would go for this newer shinier model.

I also have ATPC, and I don't use it that often when I go off-road. I only really use it when the trails are mild with few to no obstacles. It is beneficial, but just something that doesn't need to be used most of the time.

Off-road ACC is something I'd use more often than ATPC.

So far, I'm enjoying all codings that GAP tool provides but I'm wondering if I can code off road cruise control (not adaptive cruise control) enable on my almost fully loaded 2023 P400 with all off road options (hill decent/air sus/TR). Please let me know if you know the answer. Thanks!
to enable All terrain progress control (ATPC) :

MultiCAN-476 ATPC - HDC > Change to : HDC and LSPC

Hi guys, thank you for sharing information.
I have Hill Descent Control (HDC), All Terrain Progress Control (ATPC) as I have both Off-Road + Advanced Off-Road Pkg from the factory.
On MY26 Defenders, Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control is a separate option ($200) from Off-Road ($1750) / Advanced-Off-Road ($750) Pkg.
From the option cost, it must be the software activation but Patrick from GAP does not have anyway to activate it currently when I asked.
Below is his actual response:
"Unsure on this one unfortunately. No evident setting in the CCF either."

And these are actual descriptions from LR website:

All Terrain Progress Control (ATPC)
All Terrain Progress Control (ATPC) is a state-of-the-art system that enables you to set and maintain a steady speed in challenging conditions such as slippery surfaces, including: mud, wet grass, ice, snow and dirt roads. Operating like a conventional cruise control system, it functions between 1.1 mph and 18.6 mph, enabling you to maintain full concentration on the road ahead.

Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control
Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control evolves from All Terrain Progress Control (ATPC), adjusting speed for roughness, slopes, articulation and steering angles. Set your speed and comfort for a bespoke off-road experience.

However, I just learned that when I try to add Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control along with Off-Road and Advanced Off-Road Pkg on the MY26 build site, it forces me to remove Advanced Off-Road pkg. So it's very confusing, while Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control evolves from ATPC, I just can't have both...

It's a neat feature, but if you never plan on going off-road somewhat regularly, it wouldn't be a big deal, as ATPC does basically the same thing.

Seemed to be working as expected when all of a sudden I got this message (full disclosure the photo is taken from a post by @nashvegas in another thread as I did not think about taking a picture!). After that it told me adaptive mode was not available. Stopped turned off engine got out and closed and waited a couple mins. Then jumped back in and started again. System was back working but after a little while same thing. This same routine happened a couple more times, so I put the GAP tool to good use and decided to read and log live values for the cruise control sensor state. The log shows that it starts as “sensor fully operational within specification” and then after about 90 seconds of the ACC being activated the message on the dash comes and the sensor status changes to “sensor blindness detected”. So seems to be a hardware issue. The car is pretty clean and there was no rain, snow or mud involved (also no warning or faults of any kind other than the one in the picture, and no warning for emergency braking which as I understand it uses the same module). I will throughly clean the badge and housing tomorrow and check for anything that could be obstructing it (I did do a winch installation a few months ago which implied removing the radar), but was curious if anyone experienced this. My guess is the issue has been there for a while but since I did not have ACC it wasn’t noticeable (though I still think Emergency Braking should be showing a warning if the module is having issues).

Related to this, I also figured it might be worthwhile doing a Radar calibration via the Service/Test function of GAP IID, but when I tried to do so I kept getting an “operation failed” error. Curious if anyone here has successfully performed a radar calibration with the tool (I was able to confirm via live values that the horizontal and vertical angles of the radar are within specification, but still think it would be good to perform a calibration since I had removed the radar).

With all this said I am so far pretty fascinated with the tool and what it enables.
Finally had some time to address this. The solution was simple (though fairly embarrassing 🤦‍♂️). Turns out that when I installed the winch I mounted the radar incorrectly (it was flipped, i.e. it was scanning the engine bay!). So reinstalling it correctly did the trick. Thankfully it is accessible without having to take the grille off as with the OEM winch kit that is quite some work. I have not tried recalibrating it (ACC is working like a charm), but plan to try it with the GAP once I figure a proper road in my area to do so.

My GAP tool has been busy, have activated all these:
  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Configurable Terrain Response
  • All-Terrain Progress Control (ATPC)
  • Auto Terrain Response
  • Open Liftgate with Fob
  • Dynamic Mode (On this one I do find it laughable to now be able to see lap times and a stopwatch in a D90, &#128514

All of these have gone smoothly, only thing is for Auto Terrain Response I have not been able to get the terrain response button shortcut to work (i.e. press it two seconds to select it). I can only select it by pressing the Auto button in the touchscreen after displaying the driving programs. Any ideas? Here’s what I changed:
  • MultiCAN-476 ATPC: HDC and LSPC
  • MultiCAN-696 ATCM Auto TR Mode Switcg: Auto Terrain Response Mode selection switch fitted
  • MultiCAN-736 Config TR Fitment: Off Road Configuration
  • MultiCAN-754 Auto TR Prog Mode: Fitted
  • MultiCAN-755 Config TR Mode: Available for selection with timeout
  • MultiCAN-778 ATPC Select In FCP: Available as shared purpose button
  • MultiCAN-778 Ter Auto Select In FCP: Rotary used for selection within touch screen
  • MultiCAN-789 Drive Mode Order: AlI Terrain Vehicle Including Auto Order
  • MultiCAN-797 Ter CT Select In FCPB: Rotary used for selection within touch screen
  • MultiCAN-798 Ter CP Select In FCPB: Rotary used for selection within touch screen
  • MultiCAN-853 ATPC Button Type Hard Button Fitted

So do you think this is more like Regular cruise control for off-road without adjusting speed based on the car in front?
Something like: Cruise Control vs. Adaptive Cruise Control for street = ATPC vs. Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control for off-road?

Also got my matrix headlights in, will be fitting and coding them today and posted my factory premium LED headlights for sale. Really looking forward to the bending lamps as we’ve had in VW/Audi/Porsche vehicles, sounds insignificant but is such a huge help driving at night to illuminate around corners instead of straight ahead, that was probably one of the biggest letdowns the first time I drove the defender at night, I didn’t realize they didn’t have the option.

Got my matrix headlights installed but noticed coming from premium led headlights to matrix led I already had quite a few of the required CCFs.
I already had:

EUCD-014 Headlights, Type → Matrix LED AFS123/IHB
EUCD-015 Headlights, Symmetry → Not supported
EUCD-017 Dimmed Dipped Headlights → Not supported
MultiCAN-459 MainBeamVoltCtrl → Disabled
MultiCAN-459 DipBeamVoltCtrl → Disabled
MultiCAN-459 FrntPosLmpVoltCtrl → Disabled
MultiCAN-459 DRLVoltCtrl → Disabled
MultiCAN-460 CornerLmpVoltCtrl →Disabled
MultiCAN-460 FrntDirIndVoltCtrl → Disabled
MultiCAN-460 FrntFogVoltCtrl → Disabled
MultiCAN-460 AuxFrntLmpVoltCtrl → Disabled
MultiCAN-468 FntDRLType → Incorporated DRL and Pos
MultiCAN-471 LowBeamFdbkMech → BCM receives fault data via LIN + Tell Tale
MultiCAN-482 FntSdMkrDrvMech → Driven via BCM
MultiCAN-485 HighBeamDrvMech → Driven via BCM
MultiCAN-485 LowBeamDrvMech → Driven via BCM
MultiCAN-636 Laser High Beam → Disabled
MultiCAN-704 Adap Dry Beamseg → 4 Segments
MultiCAN-814 Laser High Beam Menu → Independent Laser setting

I only changed:
EUCD-016 Dayrunning Light → Standard Dipped Light for Vehicles with Dedicated DRL
MultiCAN-471 MainBeamFdbkMech → BCM receives fault data via LIN
MultiCAN-636 AdaptDrvBeam → Enabled
MultiCAN-674 AFS123 → Enabled
MultiCAN-679 HeadlightsVariant → Headlamp_Variant_High_A
MultiCAN-693 ADB Initialisation → Fitted
MultiCAN-706 Dyn Bending Light → Fitted
MultiCAN-750 High Beam Lights → Not fitted
MultiCAN-750 AHB System Status → AHBA Not fitted
MultiCAN-834 HD Adapt Drive Beam → Not supported

I locked the car for a half hour and reset pivi and the ADB was there however it would not turn on and I kept getting headlight error faults. Tried to lock again for about and hour and no dice.
I ended up leaving it overnight and tried the next night and no more faults and they worked.

For some reason they were aimed very low, only shined about 15-20 ft in front of the car and did not produce much light. I had placed tape on the wall of the garage in front of the car where the old lights were so I was able to adjust them up to match and it helped greatly.
They are very bright and the action it does when the highs come on now is really neat. It does a lot of work blocking out bits as cars are coming.
Very much worth the price!
