Default Gas mileage

What kind of real world gas mileage are people seeing with the 110 and 22" wheels, I6?

P400 110 gets 19-20 mixed hwy/town, 12 mpg towing. I run E-rated tires on 18" wheels so folks with a stock setup should get better fuel economy.

What size trailer are you towing and how good are you at following the speed limits?

I tow a 25' Airstream which comes in at about 6,700 lbs. On the interstate, I generally cruise at 63 mph. My Defender is also a bit heavier than stock as I've added sliders and underbody armor. I've been known to get off road, way off road.

Thanks. That is really not bad mileage if you have added weight to the vehicle and towing a pretty big trailer. Did you add a brake controller?

You have to. I installed the RedArc controller described in several threads in this forum. And even though JLR says not to use a weight distribution system, I do. While the air suspension will level out the truck without a WD system, the axel weights as measured at a CAT scale prove the truck was unbalanced. Using a WD system restored the front to back weights to be the same hitched or unhitched which in turn yields better steering response.

I have a 110 with 22s, running 285s, getting 14 mpg
However I drive in the mountains, have a V8 and a lead foot.
