I have the acorn interior, white crossbeam, and oyster headliner. It's nice and bright, but if I was to do it again I'd get the vintage tan and ebony headliner.

Khaki/Ebony here, on a Pangea 110.

I went Ebony because my wife always gets MB SUVs with bone-colored interiors, including the headliners. The rear cargo area HL always has black scuff marks from things that are too tall and graze the headliner when being inserted or removed from the cargo area. Bike handlebars (from bikes lying down), Home Depot purchases piled in back, I don’t know what all. We never intend to have anything that will touch the headliner, yet within a few months there are always scuff marks.

So it was black for me.

Khaki / Ebony on Hibachi Silver. No regrets and love it. It's darker, but I'm not a clean freak and KNOW that it will get some stupid stain on it if I went with a light color. But as they say on the internet: you do you. I don't treat my Defender lovingly and I often wear decent clothes that I shouldn't when working on things (vehicles, lawn care, plumbing, painting, whatever). So, it would be inevitable that I rubbed on it after doing something without a clean body part.

I went with the basic light color headliner. It's still clean despite getting the odd muddy boot print and a few other stains. Cleans up pretty well. Seats are always black. I'm not to be trusted with light colors.

I went with Oyster. Thought it brightened up the cabin a bit since I decided on no sunroof.

Ditto here, same reasoning. I like it very much.White roof, white steelies. Plus the oldins only ever came with a white headliner Trying to stay traditional here..

I currently have the Khaki and wanted the Ebony headliner. I have had some marks in my roof due to some dirtier loads and muddy dogs. If you don't have kids, animals or plan on carrying dirty items you should be fine with either.

I don’t have kids or a dog yet but I hope to keep this car for a long time: 4-7 years minimum, but hopefully much longer. With that in mind, and all the off roading I intend on doing, and the kids I may carry, and the fact that I did opt for the glass roof, seems like ebony is probably the best choice for me. I noticed today in my car with a glass roof that most of the roof is glass (or air when opened). There’s barely enough headliner for me to agonize over this decision lol.
