Default How Robust are Textile Seats?

I’m about to pull the trigger on an SE with Acorn Robust Woven Textile Seats and wondering how “robust” the seats really are. My biggest concern in that there will occasionally be dogs in the car and I worry that their claws may pull at the textile portion of the seat. I haven’t seen these seats in person yet. It also appears that the acorn seats are harder to keep clean...especially the textile portion, but that’s the only vehicle that has all of the other options I want. Thanks for providing any insight. I’m new to the forum, but this has been an invaluable resource in searching for exactly what I want.

I cant say that I have experience with the Acorn seats, but I would highly suggest getting the rear seat cover for the dogs. I have a little boy in a car seat in the back and it's been a godsend for maintaining his 'messes' and is quite robust, such that I think it would help protect against the dogs nails. You could even go a step further and roughly cut a piece of felt to further protect under the cover.

I have the acorn seats you note, and yes do make sure you treat them, as noted on a prior thread, to address the issue of the mfg. apparently failing to do so.

I have received the Aerospace 303 protectant which was recommended on another thread, but the cold mud snow rain dripping whenever the door opens cycle has not slowed enough to give me a chance to again clean the seats. I am really looking forward to putting on the treatment.

Subjectively, the weave is quite tight and the feel up-close of the fabric portion is pretty hard and robust (I think it is some type of polypropylene / nylon mix), so I think the dogs would need to have sharp, very pointed claws to damage it. That said, the weave has lots of small pockets to catch dirt and food particles from kids and dogs, so the cover idea noted previously is a wise one, I think.

its definitely robust. I have the black interior. acorn is pretty light so I would still get a cover. I have 3 dogs I throw in the back all the time. slobber, dirt and hair cleans up very easily.i still use a seat cover. even the nail marks seem to just wipe away with a good interior cleaner. if you're really going to use the truck its the way to go in my opinion.
