Ignition Start does not Recognize Key

Frequency interference is probably right. Had the same thing happen a couple of times on my RR sport. Positioned the fob closer like was earlier mentioned, and the problem went away. The car 3 spots down the row had WT rap music going which I figured interferes with a lot of things, including the fob

It does the same thing out in the desert ..open the passenger door while the engine is running and key is not in the Defender but it is..
