Default Installing wide Arches over PPF?

Has anyone ever installed the wide arches (which are partially attached using tape) over fenders that were previously vinyl wrapped or PPFed?

I just wonder if i will have any adhesion issues of the 3m tape holding on solidly to PPF.

Maybe its nothing to worry about, but curious if anyone has ever done it and had any trouble?

I have factory flares on my carpathian which is wrapped from the factory. No issues.

as long as you install the fenders correctly the first time and don’t let the double side tape cure and try to remove you should be fine. there is a chance letter that pulling the fenders off could pull up the ppf but unlikely

Thanks for the input folks. I'm less concerned since its primarily held on by clips. The Tape is there as more of a support. If they were held on with only tape, then it'd only be as strong as the PPF. My PPF is a few months old now and should be fully cured, therefore likely sufficiently strong. But it would still give me pause. On the other hand its over a broad amount of surface area to distribute the holding force, so even then I thought I'd be good. Just my OCD thought it couldn't hurt to check and see if anyone had any thoughts on it.

Yep, mine are installed over the PPF. The PPF shop recommended doing it this way for the cleanest look (and they installed the arches for me). No issues.

Just remember to use adhesion promoter otherwise the 3m take will debond over time. This is whether you're installing on PPF or not

I used that on my spoiler and it started to lift after a couple months. Had to squirt some automotive silicone under it to hold.

Certainly did use the 3m Promotor and gave it a chance to setup before installing. Looks/came out great and added benefit of deleting the side markers!
