Default Intermittent rocking or swaying side to side?

Hey all,

New here with this Rover....not consistently, but sometimes when sitting at a stop light, in drive with foot on the brake, my rig starts subtly rocking side to side. Nothing major but definitely noticeable, almost like a gust of wind or a big semi passed by but goes on until I let off the brake and proceed forward? Doesn't seem to do it when in park and immediately becomes unnoticeable at the slightest movement. I just had the rig in at the dealer for a coolant leak and I forgot to mention the rocking issue. They did say they had done a system scan and the only thing that came back was their recommendation to do a fuel injection service, which I passed on.

Any thoughts on this random shaking, rocking, swaying issue>

Thanks

No random shaking, swaying or rocking especially when stopped. I would definitely recommend the dealer check your engine and transmission mounts. You car is still under warranty. Ride with the tech so that they can confirm what you are experiencing.

Definitely....I continue to have a faint coolant smell even after two visits to the dealer so I envision another trip back, and this time I'll definitely mention the swaying. My luck, is that after driving the 30 mins to the dealership, it won't act up. I'm not too sure about motor/tranny mounts as it is so slight and intermittent, but its worth a mentioning. Thanks

Do you by chance have a dog in the wayback who’s wagging it’s tail?

Because -- when my Labrador or Bloodhound wag vigorously, the car does move a bit side to side.
